Sublingual
Sublingual is a term used to describe when medications are placed under the tongue so that they can be absorbed through the mouth, which is how many cannabis oils are designed to be consumed.
Sublingual administration is when medications, in either oil or tablet form, are placed underneath the tongue. Unlike medications you swallow, those in sublingual form do not pass through the digestive system, instead they are quickly absorbed into the bloodstream within a matter of minutes. It is recommended to take sublingual cannabis oils with food as opposed to on an empty stomach.
